MoMA Design Store offers the option to buy online and pick up at our New York City-locations with no shipping fee incurred. Most orders placed by 12pm are ready the same day. You can select to pick up in the store at checkout.
I placed an order for pickup and need to contact a store. How do I get in touch with the store directly?
Which store can I select for in-store pickup?
- You can pick up at any of our three New York City locations, pending availability.
How do I place an in-store pickup order?
- If the item is eligible for in-store pickup, it will be indicated at the product page. Once in your cart, select “In New York City? Pick up in-store” to place your order.
- If you are ordering multiple items, the items must be available at the same store to be eligible for in-store pick up.
Can I have someone else pick up my order?
- Yes, please designate that person at checkout. The pickup person must provide a valid ID at time of pickup.
What time do I need to order to pick up the same day?
- Orders placed by 12pm ET will be available for same day pickup, pending inventory availability. An email is sent as soon as the order is ready for pickup. We encourage you to arrive at the store 15 minutes before the store closes to pick up your order.
How long do I have to pick up my order?
- Orders will be held for pick up for 7 days once the order is ready for pickup.

Can I change the pickup location after my order is placed?
- At this time we cannot change the pickup location for an order.
When will I be charged for my pickup order?
- We will charge your credit card once we confirm the product is available and you receive the pickup confirmation email.
What happens if the item(s) I ordered are not available in store?
- We have processes in place to reduce the scenarios in which inventory is not available in store, but there are circumstances in which one or more of your in-store pickup items may not be fulfilled.
- If we are unable to fulfill your item(s), you will receive an email notification informing you of the change to your order. You will not be charged for any item(s) that are not fulfilled.
Do you offer curbside service?
- At this time we are unable to bring products to the curb. In-store pickup orders must be retrieved from the cash register in the store.
Where do I pick up the item?
- Orders will be ready for pickup at the cash register.
What if I want to return an item I received?
- Please see our return policy. Returns can be made in store or online.
Am I able to add promotions/offers to my in-store pickup order?
- Please review terms and conditions for the selected promotion to establish eligibility for ‘Buy Online Pickup In Store’ orders. If a ‘Buy Online Pickup In Store’ order qualifies for the selected promotion, you will be able to apply the promo code when you place the order online.
If I do not pick up my item, will I be refunded automatically?
- If your item is not picked up within 7 days we will refund your order and send you an email confirmation. It may take up to 5 days for the refund to be processed.
